The City’s current Self-Response Rate is 77.8% according to the Census Response Rate website.
This percentage is currently higher than Iowa’s 71.4% rate and the nation’s 66.8% rate! Thank you!
While we have exceeded our final 2010 self-response rate of 77.1%, let’s make a final push in October to exceed this!
We are currently tied for 95th in Iowa, so please submit your responses if you haven’t already!

The Census is an incredibly important tool that will directly benefit citizens at the local and state levels for the next ten years.
It is critical for Adel to have an accurate count, especially given the significant growth we have experienced over the past decade.
For example, the 2020 Census will allow the City of Adel to benefit from additional Road Use Tax funding for street maintenance.
