08/26/20 Update: For neighborhoods north of HWY 6 / Greene Street and south of Grove, crews will complete their brush and tree limb collection by the afternoon of Thursday, August 27. After that, please use the options listed below for any additional vegetative debris that the City did not collect from the right-of-way.
In addition, City crews noticed a number of ash trees on private property showing signs of the emerald ash borer. Please consider having a professional evaluate these trees to determine if treatment or removal is necessary.
City crews are still in the process of clearing brush and tree limbs from the August 10 derecho storm event.
Much progress has been made on the areas south of HWY 6 / Greene St. and north of Grove Street. After Friday, August 21 in these areas, you will have several options for any additional vegetative debris that the City did not collect from the right-of-way. You can bundle it for yard waste, drop it off at the City’s brush pile near 1505 Old Portland Road (i.e., Fuller’s Gas Station and the City’s Archery Range), or haul it to the landfill.
Further guidance and deadlines on other areas of town will be provided next week.
We appreciate your patience.
