Transient Merchant’s License Application

There is a minimum 3-day waiting period to receive a Transient Merchant’s License. Before a Transient Merchant’s License is issued, proof is required that the applicant has filed a bond with the Secretary of State in accordance with Chapter 9C of the Code of Iowa. Please fill out a new application for each Applicant/Employee, even if for the same business. Fees will be assessed and the total will be emailed to the applicant within the 3-day waiting period. Fees will be required to be paid before the license(s) are approved. Payment may be made by mailing in a check to City Hall or coming into City Hall to pay in person.
