Volunteers

Park Board

The Parks and Recreation Department is overseen by the Parks and Recreation Board. The board makes decisions on the development of the leisure time opportunities and facilities in the community. The Parks and Recreation Board also serves as the City Tree Board. The board typically meets the first Monday of the month in the Adel City Council Chambers at 6:30pm. Park board members are appointed by the mayor with city council approval.

Coaching

A majority of our youth programs are led by volunteer coaches. You do not need to be a family member of a participant to volunteer. If you have a passion for the sport and want to get involved, we’d be happy to have you!

Park Clean-up

If you or your organization is interested in assisting with annual park clean-ups or post storm clean-ups, let us know. Extra hands are always helpful!

Sponsorship

Interested in lending a hand in a monetary fashion? Consider sponsoring one of our programs or teams. Little League Baseball and Softball team sponsorship is $100 which scores your “corporate name” on one team’s uniform and the option for a 3′ x 8′ sign on the outfield fence line. Sponsor is responsible for supplying sign.
